I have to admit to having a slight (almost voyeuristic) addiction to seeing how my favourite designers go about their crafts behind the scenes – if I could be a fly on their walls I would be one happy lady. Failing that, I thought why not ask them to give us a glimpse of what happens in their creative minds and studios? Because a lot of you liked the DIY Macrame Necklace that Megan of Knots & Knits made for us a while back, I knew her process would be one you would love to know more about – how exactly does she create those knitted amazing bags?! Lucky for us Megan was happy to document how she creates a custom order – read on for a peek into her world!
About to start a new custom order clutch – choosing the perfect colours.
Casting the first colour onto my giant knitting needles.
Adding the second colour.
Progress!
Hand pressing the unique number given to each bag – on the back of the brass Knots & Knits badge.
Attaching the brass tag to the bag.
The custom packaging each Knots & Knits bag comes in.
The finished product!
Finally, I add a few little branding details before sending it off!
