You guyyyyys. I’m excited to share with you another of my guides for New York.
When you think of New York, what do you think of? Chances are it’s the brownstones of Greenwich Village, or a cupcake from Magnolia bakery. In a nutshell, this unique, iconic and utterly romantic area of New York is known the world over. And with good reason! It’s somewhere you can get truly lost, and by simply walking the streets for a whole day, experience so many historic and gorgeous parts of New York.

New York Guide: The High Line, Meatpacking & Greenwich Village
Stay
Take a load off at infamous The Jane hotel – I love the vintage style!
Go luxe with a room at The Standard.
Modern, minimalist and great for its city view go for Hotel Americano.
See & Do
The best way to see this area is to just get walking! I would set aside a day to explore, starting up around Chelsea at the start of the High Line, then working your way down and jumping off now and again to see and eat. Once you reach the end of the High Line in the heart of the Meatpacking district, explore the shops and restaurants of this area and then head over on to Greenwich Village for the gorgeous cobbled lanes and boutique shops. What a day!
The town planner in me never fails to marvel at the gorgeous High Line Park. A disused subway line converted into a stunning, green linear park is a mustn’t miss.
Drop into The Whitney Museum of American Art.
Check out the Comedy Cellar… I honestly loved our night there soooo much!
Shop up a storm in the luxury stores around the Meatpacking District, or wander the pretty boutiques in the West Village.
People watch at Washington Square Park.
