Palm Springs, it’s been on my list forever and late last year I was lucky enough to visit for a few days. Even though it was a little while ago now, I can’t stop thinking about how much I loved it. And I’m excited to share with you my Palm Springs Travel Guide, because I know it’s the type of thing you guys will totally be into.

I rarely rush to use the word ‘cool’ when defining a place (often when you say that, it automatically makes it the opposite). But with Palm Springs, I’ll make an exception. The mix of desert landscape, mid century modern architecture and 60’s glamour takes you to another time and place in just the right way. It’s only an hour or so away from LA but might as well be lightyears by rocketship. Read on for my fave things to see and do.

Palm Springs Travel Guide

Stay

I stayed at the Ace Hotel, which I thought was so fun – they’ve renovated an old highway motel and put that Ace touch on it. Turns into a bit of a party hotel on the weekends so keep that in mind if you’re looking for something more relaxing. I also loved the gardens of The Parker and if I went back I would stay at Moroccan inspired Korakia Pensione.

Eat & Drink

Hang out by the pool or in King’s Highway at the Ace hotel.

Have iced coffees at Koffi.

Wait in line for brunch at Cheeky’s (so worth it!).

Have lunch at Norma, the restaurant in The Parker.

Hang on the patio with cocktails at Birba (the pizza is pretty good too!).

Have a more fancy meal at Workshop Kitchen + Bar.

Grab a stump town brew at Ernest Coffee.

See & Do

Hire a bike and do this self guided Midcentury Modern Architecture tour.

Visit the cacterium at Moorten Botanical Gardens… The absolute highlight of Palm Springs for me.

Take the two hour drive to Salvation Mountain… The biggest piece of folk art in the world built, by one man, this mountain was built out of straw and paint and is decorated in Christian sayings and Bible verses. It’s worth the drive!

Vintage Shopping at The Fine Art of Design and The Frippery.

Visit #thatpinkdoor… A door with its own hashtag is not to be missed! You can find it at 1100 E Sierra Way.

Head to Joshua Tree National Park… We didn’t have time this trip but it’s the top of my list for next time!
