When it comes to decor for holiday entertaining, I have to admit to being about bang for buck – in terms of time and also in relation to, well, actual bucks. I guess it’s borne out of an interest in retaining as many dollars as possible for the catering and drinks portion of the evening. But just because I often prioritise the menu (cos a girls gotta eat!), it doesn’t mean I would ever skimp on style. Unless I’m home alone, in which case it’s pjs, homemade quesadillas and Midsomer Murders. But the fact is, all you really need to create something gorgeous, noteworthy and, well, instagrammable, for your table is some foliage, a few items you probably already have around the house and a touch of elbow grease. Trust me.
Witchery recently asked me to show them how I’ll be decorating my table these holidays, and naturally I couldn’t resist making these eucalyptus place settings. They were perfect paired with a few metres of hessian (napkins and table runner), my DIY candle holders, a round marble tile sample and some gold cutlery.

These place settings are so easy to make, double as a leaf crown and look great when paired with loads of other foliage down the centre of the table.
