Hey guys!Ā Although it may seem like an incoherent ramble at times, this monthly post is one of the most enjoyable to put together for you. I screengrab and jot notes all months of things I know you guys will like, and always look forward to sharing with you.
I wanted to also expand this post a little bit to talk about what’s being happening in my life and in my business. I think one this about working on a lifestyle website or creating content is that it’s challenging to share enough of the behind the scenes – and it’s easy to think it all comes together without any hiccups or serious planning. But like anyone doing any job really, work is WORK – sometimes fun but also exhausting, challenging and full of experimentation. I wanted to share more of that with you!
My Month of May
I recently came back from a trip to Australia, I actually left Frankie at home for the first time! My trip was very quick (4 days) and focused on client work, so it was better for her to stay with Ben, and by the looks of things they had a great time. I was really worried about missing her terribly, but in the end I was so busy that I barely noticed. Crazy! And needless to say it was also incredible to fly on a plane without a baby, something I’ve not done since before she was born. Bliss! Obviously it was amazing to come home to her baby smell and cute little cheeks, but interesting to know she’s fine without me and I am too! For a few days anyway…
While back in Australia, I worked on a big shoot for a client (to be used on their channels) and in case you’re wondering, it’s always incredibly stressful leading up to a shoot. I have a tendency to make a million lists and check I have everything over and over (and over!) to the pint of ridiculousness. In the end it went really smoothly – and I need to remember that any issue can usually be solved with a little creative problem solving!
In other news, I’ve just booked a trip to Spain for us, and it looks as though it will be perfectly timed for Frankie to just have started walking, which I’m sure will make it a hectic experience! I am trying to carve out a bit of work free time – Ben and I usually work all the way through holidays and just juggle – but with a baby that’s going to be hard.
And finally, in my downtime (other than one big other project I’m working on that’s under wraps right now – annoying I know) I’ve been working on conceptualising a bit of an evolution of this site. I’m continually amazed by the creativity of the people around me and also from you guys, and am looking at refreshing with a bit more of a community focus. More on this to come!
Reading/Thinking
I’ve read so many books recently! I’ve been travelling and then being low key when I’m home, which are both recipes for reading more, or so it seems. This month I read Normal People, Daisy Jones & The Six, The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, and Educated. Loved them all!
Saw Booksmart and loved it.
If you haven’t watched Fleabag, a) I am jealous because it would be so amazing to watch it for the first time again and b) go do it!
Do you have a nemesis?
So many of you send me DM’s and ask what podcasts I’m into, and the truth is a listen to so many on my morning hikes… Right now: The Daily and Ladies We Need To Talk.
Wearing
I finally found a comfortable and flattering bustier top, I’ve been looking for one for such a long time. I also bought this skirt, because everyone needs a simple black mini. Reformation is more expensive than most stores but I like the fact that they use deadstock fabrics. I’ve worn this jumpsuitĀ pretty much every single day since it arrived!
I’m not really breastfeeding much in the day anymore but I seem to have transitioned to tops with button fronts forever now. I got this linen tank and it is so versatile. And just looks a lot more dressed up than a basic top.
I finally got my hands on a vintage Fendi baguette. I bought it over on Etsy where there are lots.
Making
I recently stocked up on lots of different sized beads, I love the organic feel of wooden accessories.
I’ve finally found the perfect rug for re-covering my ottoman… And it only took like 12 months. LOL. Stay tuned for that.

As part of the refresh of my website I’ve been brainstorming hundreds of new ideas (many for video) for home and fashion projects. I can’t wait to get stuck in.
