Collective Gen makes workwear for women who make things for a living.
Florists, ceramicists, painters, studio owners. Women whose work is physical and material and their own.
I started it because I could not find what I needed. Real workwear was cut for men and never fit right. Everything else fell apart within a season.
So we designed our own. Suppliers walked away when we refused to use polyester. It would have been cheaper and easier. It would also have been wrong. You wear these for a full day, in a studio, a cool room, a kiln room. Cotton breathes. Cotton softens with every wear, and every hour you put in makes them fit you better.
Everything we make is 100% cotton canvas. Relaxed through the leg, tapered through the back, with pockets deep enough to hold what you actually carry. Sizes 8 to 20.
The colours are neutral and the shapes are classic, because these are meant to be worn for years rather than a season.
