When your friends are this amazing, who needs guys?
But seriously though, I have to say that I’m down with the whole Galentines movement. I mean, when do you get to celebrate your favourite gals? Add the fact that the whole movement was (in my mind) spearheaded by Leslie Knope and you’ve got me hook line and sinker. A few days ago, we put together a little cocktail and cake session in the studio with a few of my friends to celebrate the fact that this ‘love holiday’ isn’t just for couples. First, we decked out the space with a few DIYs, then we hopped into some favourite Grana silk items, and then tucked into some yummy raw cake and cocktails. Oh and in case you’re looking for something fancy to wear this Valentines/Galentines and beyond, look no further than Grana’s new silk collection, so many nice styles there just in time for Spring! Scroll on for more.

The Space (and DIYs!)
You’ll remember our little window nook in the studio, and I knew it would make the perfect spot for a littl pow wow and chow down. There’s nothing I love more than a space absolutely decked out with DIYs, so it’ll come as no surprise that we took this opportunity to include all our favourite recent projects into the nook. Because why not? First up, we laid out a few rugs to warm the space up a bit – we used this one and this one. Then, we added some throws and fabric and a few DIY cushions and a newly made DIY floor pouf. A few coffee tables including a recent DIY – this stump one were the perfect places for some glasswaree and snacks. We topped off the whole space with an amazing macrame lightshade that we’ve been working on in the studio. Stay tuned for that DIY!
I think we’re going to keep the space like this for a while!
In the space: Urban Outfitters Pink Rug, Paddo To Palmy Morrocan Wedding Blanket, DIY floor cushion (tutorial here), H&M Home pink throw and pink and rust cushions, Ikea raffia pouf and pink glassware set, wooden stool design by Ben, DIY stump table (tutorial here), Vintage vase, DIY macrame lampshade (coming soon!).
The Outfits
I’ve been really excited to try some of Grana’s new Spring silk styles for a while, and thought that an afternoon of hanging with the gals in the studio would be the perfect opportunity. Luckily for us, Grana had sent a few pretty silk pieces, and we all obliged with a fun try on session! You won’t be surprised to learn that I love the new pink styles they have just launched including this classic cami and this silk full skirt. The silk high waisted trousers that Bridget is wearing are also such a great style, you guys know how much I love a high waisted style. I also absolutely love this gorgeous cashmere jumper. The Eats & Drinks
Finally, onto the good bit. If you’ve been tuned into my instagram stories, you’ll know I tried my hand at a raw blueberry cheesecake… And I hope you don’t mind me bragging but it was (surprisingly) veyr yummy! I’ll be sharing the recipe with you here soon, but needless to say it didn’t last long in the studio. We topped that off with some rosé sangria and a few gallons of sparkling water. It was such a treat!
