I have to admit that I have a serious sweet tooth.
Most of the time I keep it under wraps, but come the festive season I feel that it’s only necessary to indulge a little. And an affogato is my number one indulgence, just the ticket after that turkey starts making you sleepy – it’s my answer to Christmas pudding! To celebrate the festive season, Nespresso have launched a new Variation Grands Crus which have taken inspiration from the coffee traditions of Vienna and the aromas of three of Austria’s most famous pastries. Naturally, I took inspiration from these for a festive inspired coffee recipe – a brownie affogato.
Chocolate Brownie Affogato Recipe
6 shots of Nespresso Sachertorte at 40ml each.
Soft Vanilla Gelato/Ice Cream
A brownie (I used raw brownies I made at home)
1. Extract your Nespresso.
2. Add a slice of brownie to the glass.
3. On top of that add a scoop of Vanilla gelato.
4. Drown the brownie and ice cream in the espresso, add some cream on top (optional) and sprinkle with chocolate shavings.
