Loving candles has to be my favourite cliche. Because it’s so true!
I have to say I absolutely love candles, both for the warm glow they cast over your Friday night wine, and also how much detail they add to the styling of your space. Today, I’m taking the styled element even further with this shell candle. It’s so easy to make, and is definitely something you could try this weekend.
You need:
- A cup of bee or soy wax
- A wick
- Glue or wick stickers
- Microwave or double boiler
- 20 drops of essential oils (I used geranium)
- This is all you need!
- Glue the wick to the bottom
To heat the wax I put my wax in a pyrex dish and microwaved it for a minute at a time until it was liquid. You can also use a double boiler to do this.
- Wrap the wick around a skewer
- Fill the shell with melted wax, fragrance and allow to set. Once set, trim the wick.!
Enjoy!
