Hello guys!
Is the year just flying by or what? Blink in April and you find yourself in September just like that… But, this year Ben and I decided to extend the summer season by going away to Europe in late September, when hopefully the high summer crowds and sweltering cobblestones will have reduced a little. We’re going for a friends wedding which is bound to be fun and full of late nights, but after that, we’ll be road tripping all around the islands – far from the maddening crowd and deep into the quiet, little-known parts of the island. That’s the plan anyway! As I’ve mentioned before, any holiday like this inspires in me
As I’ve mentioned before, any holiday like this inspires in me a feeling of wanting to make and create parts of my wardrobe. I mean, who can contemplate going to Ibiza without considering (in detail, for me anyway) the wardrobe. Oh the wardrobe! And whilst it might be more chic and French-girl-esque to act like it all comes together at the last minute with minimal thought, we know each other well enough for me to be honest right? It takes time, and thought, and DIYing… All of which I love, so it works in my favour. Which is why (if you’re looking for a point to this ramble this is it), dear readers, I am once again going to enlist you to help me decide what to make for the trip!
Which is why (if you’re looking for a point to this ramble this is it), dear readers, I am once again going to enlist you to help me decide what to make for the trip! There’s not a whole lot of time so maybe only long enough to create a few pieces, but naturally I have pulled together a few ideas below, my dream wardrobe/style goals/general wishful thinking.

What Should I Make With This Fabric? (The Ibiza Edition)
Some Ideas
If you follow along with my Instagram stories you’ll know that recently I hit up my favorite fabric markets again, I just can’t stay away. Who doesn’t love searching through rolls of fabric piled high in 100% humidity? The markets were forthcoming, as usual, and I picked up rust and mustard linens, as well as the fabrics you see here – blue and white seersucker fabric, white linen and a blush pink striped cotton. I’ve got a few ideas:
The Set You’ll know I’m a huge fan of the set (ie a matching top and bottom) so that’s pretty high up on the potential list at the moment, whether it’s slim fitting or a more voluminous shape has yet to be decided.
Tie Front Bandeau Top Remember I said the mood board might be a bit of the wishful thinking? Well, this is a good example – a bandeau top that ties at the front… Paired with matching high-waisted trousers and you’ve got a serious ‘look’. That said, the bandeau top is yet to be tested for a bust larger than a mozzie bite, so I’ll have to get back to you on that.
Floaty Pink Perfection The fabric I bought seems to lend itself to a maximal, boho look and I’m thinking something floaty for that fabric. But what?
Maximal Jumpsuit That beautiful wide leg white jumpsuit has been on my Pinterest boards for over a year, but I’ve yet to have a chance to attempt it… Maybe it’s time?
Fabrics I bought: blue and white seersucker cotton, white linen, pink striped cotton.
On a side note, I hope you don’t mind me asking you guys all the time what to make… I might sound like a broken record but you guys consistently give me amazing ideas and it feels so much more fun doing it collaboratively. S0 a big thank you for always serving up the goods! xxx G
