Another day, another major life change š
I’m excited to finally share with you some news that I’ve been holding onto for a little while now… Ben and I are expecting a baby! We’re excited/terrified/impatient to meet our new little one in a few months, and I honestly couldn’t imagine a more kind/practical/loving person to do this with. Having a lot of friends with children already, I feel like I’m no stranger to the intense highs and lows of having a new family, but when in doubt I always think about how much fun, adventure and creativity my family got up to when I was growing up, and can’t wait to have that with my own bub. Hopefully!
Hello bump!
For those of you who are interested, I’m currently 23 weeks, and after a pretty rough first trimester where it felt like a superhuam effort to hold things even a tiny bit together, I’m feeling good! My energy has returned, all my favourite foods are palatable again, and picking colours for our renovation doesn’t feel like undertaking a triathlon. Wahoo!
Nicola and I got together a few days ago and took some pics to document the ‘bump’, although I have to say it’s not that impressive… yet! I’m looking forward to sharing parts of this journey with you, and feel so fortunate to have the support of such a kind and intelligent community. As you can imagine I’m pretty excited to get stuck into a few (ahem, a hundred or so) new DIY projects. More coming soon I promise!
