Make this Safari Inspired Belted Bench

There’s nothing I like more than a bench, they are THE MOST adaptable piece for your house. Use them in your living room for extra seating, at the end of the bed for throwing your clothes off at night, or in your bathroom for storage. Their uses are endless!

And you know what’s even better? They are sooo easy to make. I’ve made a simple hairpin leg bench before, but for this one I’ve added a canvas covered cushion and leather strapping for a slightly more expensive feel. Scroll down for the tutorial.

You need

  • A plank of wood
  • 4 hairpin legs
  • Foam cut to size of your plank (I cut up a bench seat cushion)
  • Canvas fabric
  • Glue
  • Leather strapping or old belts
  • Staple gun and staples
  • Nails or screws for attaching the legs
