Plaster is one of my favourite materials to work with. It’s really simple to use, gives pieces a unique, textured look and applying it is one of the most satisfying feelings ever!
If you’re looking for a fun project to do this weekend then you should definitely try one of the following projects using Multi Joint Compound – you won’t regret it.
1. Upcycled Arched Console
I love a good console table upcycle, they can completely transform a space and they’re something you can get really creative with. This one was a bit of work, but I absolutely love how it turned out.
2. Floor Length Wavy Mirror
Floor length standing mirrors are such statement pieces, but they can often set you back thousands of dollars. So I recently gave myself a challenge to create a beautiful standing mirror for less than $200. This was the result!
3. Arched Shelves
All you need for this project is some cardboard, a piece of wood and some Multi Joint Compound!
4. Bottle Floor Lamp
You all know I love to upcycle and use trash whenever I can in my projects, and this was an idea that I *thought* might work but I wasn’t sure. Once I’d applied the bottles I was actually SURE it wouldn’t work, but I loved it in the end!
5. Upcycled Sculptural Art
A neutral piece of art is so adaptable in a space, something that I’ve noticed since I did this sculptural art – I’ve been using it so much!
6. Upcycled Pedestal Dining Table
What do you do when you have a table that’s the perfect size, but just need a little refresh? You tile it and plaster it!
7. Pond Shaped Mirror
When a super affordable mirror turns into a show-stopper, you can’t help but get excited.
8. Plastered Side Tables
This was the first project I ever did using plaster, and I learnt so much. It’s still such an easy one to try yourself!
9. Rendered Plant Pot Lamp
Making a lamp base out os plastered stacked pots, this project was so easy.
