Hello from down under guys!
How’s 2017 tracking for you so far? Have you managed to think of that one word to define your year yet? When I don’t have my sewing machine at hand I get a little twitchy – so to warm off a lack of creativity is often find myself making jewelry – something like this choker is about as easy as it gets, while still packing a punch in terms of amping up your outfit. But don’t worry, in case you’re looking for some new sewing projects, I’ve got a whole lot planned for the next few weeks. Excited! In the meantime, have a go at making one of these yourself 🙂
DIY Lace And Leather Choker
You need:
1
Take the measurement around the base of your neck and cut the lace to length, just make sure you add an extra 2cm for the overlap to attach the press studs!
3
Sew one end of the lace to the centre of the leather cord. This step might be a little confusing because the lace clips together at the back of the neck while the leather cord ties together at the front of the neck so the two can only be joined at the back.
4
Lastly, tie a knot at the end of the leather cord to prevent the ends from wearing out.
