Hey guys! If you’ve been following me on Instagram you’ll know I’ve been spending a few days on the island of Ibiza, having a bit of a late summer holiday and attending a friend’s wedding. It’s funny, because I know that when most people hear ‘Ibiza’ they imagine mega clubs and partying all night. And admittedly I did too, and had a little trepidation when booking the trip. But after a bit of research, we planned to see the more hidden side of the island – discover rocky coves and stumble upon some secret waterside restaurants. But after a bit (ok, a lot) of research, we worked out there is a lot to see on the more hidden side of the island – rocky coves, beautiful hikes and secret waterside restaurants. And we haven’t been disappointed! I’ll be sharing more details in the form of a few travel guides soon, but in the meantime I wanted to share with you what I packed for the trip. I haven’t done one of these in ages so I thought it might be fun. I know for many of you Summer is coming to an end, so this might seem a little bittersweet, but hopefully it serves as a good list for the next warm weather holiday you have planned!
What’s In my Suitcase: Ibiza Edition
What I Packed
Colour Scheme
Ok so you guys know how much I like to pack to a colour scheme, it always makes getting dressed and building lots of different outfits really easy. If you haven’t done it before I suggest you try it! I always take inspiration from the place I am going to when choosing the palette, and in this case was inspired by the water and the arid landscape. For this packing list I opted for a simple palette of whites, blues and a few rust and red pieces.
The Perfect Bikini
I’m not sure about you but when I’m going on a summer holiday (even if it’s not quite summer anymore) I always put a lot of time and effort into planning the swimsuit(s) I will take with me – an admittedly scary amount of research goes into it! This time I opted for a bandeau style with a broderie anglaise inspired ruffle. I love it!

A Seersucker Top And Skirt Set
You’ll remember from my recent fabric post that I had some gorgeous seersucker fabric that I picked up in the fabric markets… I decided to make a matching circle skirt and top set out of it. Perfect together or pairing the skirt with the bikini top when I’m on my way to the beach.
Matching skirt and top set is a DIY, you can find the tutorial here.
3 Jumpsuits
I’ve never met a jumpsuit I didn’t love, and you know that’s not the first time I’ve said that! I discovered this linen blue and white striped jumpsuit and knew it would be a holiday favorite, and also threw in this lace romper.

My Circle Bag
You don’t have to know me for very long to get an understanding of my love of straw bags, and even though Spain is the mecca for all things straw and I’ve certainly picked up a few here (sharing those soon!) I took my favourite Bali bag with me because it’s the perfect size and is a great summery alternative to a wedding clutch.

The Simple Sandal
Yep, of course I took my simple sandals with me… in all the colours!

Two Maxi Dresses
Finally, who doesn’t love a good dress on holiday? I’m packing two nice ones from my favourite dress brand, a blue and white maxi dress along with a rust coloured polkadot dress. Both so easy to throw on!
